Approaching CBD as a Certified Physician
I am Dr. Tricia Punsalan, a family medicine doctor located in the Houston, TX area.
I’ve been a board certified family medicine physician for a few years and I’ve seen a lot of patients and seen a lot of things change. One of the things I have noticed is the popularity of CBD amongst patients.
After seeing the increase in positive testimonials from other Doctors as well as CBD patients, I realized I couldn’t ignore this any longer and needed to learn more. Besides, my patients were already using it irrespective of what I thought, so more reason for me to be informed.
I also decided to dig into learning about CBD because over the past decade of practice, I’ve become increasingly dissatisfied with the drug-drug interactions and polypharmacy created by benzodiazepines, opioids, sleep aids, and chronic pain syndrome medications.
I started to do research which led me to Wellness BioSciences Rx. My first surprise was that CBD contains less than 0.3% of THC, which is the compound found in cannabis which gives it its psychoactive effect. So right of the bat, we are talking about a product that is in an entirely different world as the cannabis plant. Second, I found out a lot about the manufacturing process at WBRx.
Quality Certification
They utilize an advanced extraction and “nano-emulsification” process that is precise, clean, and overseen by Ph.D. certified scientists and extractors. They believe in honesty and transparency and provide the certification to prove that their CBD product is Sourced from 100% Non-GMO Hemp & CBD and Made with organic, all-natural ingredients.
Now my clients know exactly what they are putting into their bodies and I can be a partner in their quest to establishing long term health and Wellness. It’s an exciting time for both the medical and CBD industry alike.
