Staying fit while quarantining is as seamless as logging onto social media, according to Danica Patrick.
The former racecar driver and yoga enthusiast, who regularly shares photos and videos of workouts with her 766,000 Instagram followers, noted there’s a sense of “camaraderie” when participating in a live workout with self-isolation guidelines in effect due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I’ve been doing Instagram Live workouts, usually Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday,” Patrick recently told The Post. “I think it’s just more motivating to do it when it’s live and then you’re really in, you’re really with it, and also the feeling of companionship or camaraderie because you’re doing it with people at the same time.”
Though Patrick, 38, is keeping busy with her live workouts and “Pretty Intense” podcast, she’s also veering into another lane, investing in the wellness company beam. Founded by former athletes, the organization features an array of CBD products made with natural ingredients and is THC-free.
“It’s a really, really good product that’s very effective,” Patrick said. “Investing came after getting to know the owners [Kevin Moran, formerly of the Chicago White Sox, and former hockey player Matt Lombardi], and I just think [they] are really cool guys with a great plan, great ambition.”
With products ranging from $25 to $180 online, Patrick said she’s added the Clarity blend, which includes beam’s nano CBD powder and adaptogens, to her morning meals and coffee.
“When I make breakfast in the morning, I make some pseudo version of oatmeal, and a lot of times I’ll put Clarity in it,” Patrick said. “It’s kind of an add-in, it doesn’t really fit into dinners so much, but some of the blends in the morning are really easy to add in things.”
